Bucket, Schmuket

6562740Do you have a bucket list? Today’s blog challenge topic is bucket lists; you know those lists of things you have to do before you die?

I can honestly say I don’t have one and never really thought about having one. Maybe I don’t have that many aspirations LOL. If I had to make one up, you know like if I was forced at gunpoint to make a list, I suppose I could think of a few things I would want to do before I die.

I would definitely like to travel, the places I would most like to go would be Ireland, Italy, and France. I’m sure there are other places I’ve thought about before but just can’t remember, maybe Amsterdam 😉 I’m not really big into things that might end your life prematurely like climbing up the side of a cliff or jumping out of an airplane; I have enough anxiety just thinking about doing something like that without actually doing it.

So aside from travel, I guess a few others would be

  • Hone my mediumship skills
  • Remember all the things I learned in my previous lives
  • Become a paranormal investigator
  • Find my birth father
  • Learn more about my ancestry
  • Be a successful business owner
  • Make a difference in the world somehow

I guess my goals are pretty simple but, like I said, I really never thought about having a bucket list. Maybe because I don’t really think of death as the end of something, I know I’ll be back to do it all over again. I know this is about what you experience now, in this lifetime, but I just never contemplated death in that way.

So what are your goals and aspirations? Have you written your bucket list? How many of those things have you accomplished so far? Comment below and let me know!

I love your attitude Renee!! No urgency there..
I have a long list and the main one is to be as happy as I can and inspire and help people to be happy themselves..
I’ve said it! Thank you for prompting me to say that so concisely!

Hey there Renee 🙂 Hmm, my bucket list… I’m like you. I don’t really have one. But there are some things floating around in my head and some things that I say out loud sometimes that I know I’d love to do, like visit Paris, Tokyo (and learn Japanese fluently before I go) and Rome. A trip around the world based on the best places to eat is definitely up there. I’m a closet foodie. What else… I’ve always wanted to ride all the scariest roller coasters all over. Hmm, I’m noticing a travel theme here.

The funny thing is, I hate the travel part. I don’t like hotels or planes or long car rides either for that matter. My ideal destination vacation would be to visit the place, but spend every evening back at home. Lol.

I’m not much for the actual travel part either Nicole, maybe someday we can teleport instead LOL.

When I saw your headline, I thought we were sympatico about how unnecessary a bucket list should be. We sort of are, but for different reasons. I wrote my Blog challenge about both the bucket list and the vision board, and don’t bother with either. I have way too much I want to do this time around and I’m figuring out how to get it done. But it’s all in my brain — the list, the visualization — I don’t need to check them off. I just add more! So I’m the one who should have said Bucket schmucket! But we do have a lot of the same beliefs. I hope you get to read mine. Curious if you agree.
    Good post, Renee. Thank you!

I don’t have a bucket list, I didn’t even know what one was. The top three things on my bucket list would be…. 1. To be able to work one day–right now this is not possible because of my physical limitations. 2. To really learn to love and accept myself just the way I am. 3. To write a book about some of my important life stories. So I guess you could say that now I do have a bucket list.
