It’s Okay to be Afraid of the Dark

Are you afraid of the dark? I’m not, but I used to be. The dark can be a scary place, especially when you’re a child. When I was very young, even up through high school, I needed to have some sort of light on and/or sound in order to sleep. Even then, it was difficult. My first experience with things in the dark was when I was about 2 or 3. I woke one night to see a shadow figure at the foot of my bed, touching my foot. Then it gradually disappeared below my bed.
